Coastal walk: Pointe aux Canonniers → Grand Baie

From the old lighthouse of Pointe aux Canonniers round the coast to the bay of Grand Baie: the link that joins the north-west beach walks to Grand Baie and Pereybère.

From the point of Pointe aux Canonniers, with its old lighthouse and French cannons, follow the shore east round the coast into the bay of Grand Baie, past small beaches, villas and boats at anchor, to the public beach in the centre of town.

About 5 km one way along the shore. With the other north-west walks you can go all the way from Pointe aux Piments to Pereybère (≈ 15 km): Pointe aux Piments → Trou aux Biches → Mont Choisy → Pointe aux Canonniers → Grand Baie → Pereybère.
