Planning tips
- Group the far regions. The north (Grand Baie, Pamplemousses) and the south-east (Blue Bay, MahΓ©bourg) are 1β1h15 away: do each in one full day, or sleep a night there.
- Sunrise for hikes and dolphins. In summer (NovemberβApril) the sun rises around 5:30β6:00 and itβs hot by 10:00.
- Avoid the rush hours around Port Louis, ΓbΓ¨ne and Quatre Bornes (7:00β9:30, 16:00β18:30).
- Book ahead: Γle aux Aigrettes, the family Creole tables, catamarans, and the Le Morne guide.
- Keep a flexible day for weather-dependent activities (skydive, helicopter, boat trips).
