Grand River South East waterfall
A waterfall plunging straight into a narrow river gorge on the east coast, reached by boat up the river from the lagoon.
Near Trou d'Eau Douce, the Grande Rivière Sud-Est (the island's longest river) ends in a narrow, green gorge, where a waterfall drops off the cliff into the river. Speedboats run up the river from the lagoon to the foot of the falls; monkeys often watch from the trees.
Most Γle aux Cerfs trips stop here on the way: ask for it when you book.
