Île aux Cerfs is famous for its beaches, but the lagoon around it is also good for snorkelling, especially on the quieter sides of the island and on the stops that the speedboats make on the way. Expect groupers, blue-striped snappers and sunbream over sand and coral patches.

Bring your own mask: the rental ones on the island are often poor.
