Pointe d’Esny wetland
A small protected wetland of mangroves and mudflats behind the white beach of Pointe d’Esny, with native plants and butterflies.
Behind the long beach of Pointe d'Esny lies a 22-hectare Ramsar wetland: mangroves, brackish lagoons and mudflats, home to threatened plants, native butterflies and wading birds. It's a reminder of what much of the coast looked like before the villas.
There are no big facilities: walk the edges from the beach side and combine it with the Blue Bay → Pointe d'Esny lagoon walk.
- Mangroves and native butterflies
- Next to the beach
- On the Blue Bay lagoon walk
