The Jardin Telfair is a seaside park in Souillac, named after Charles Telfair, the naturalist who ran the Bel Ombre estate. Centuries-old banyans with curtains of aerial roots, almond trees and palms shade the lawns above the sea, a favourite picnic spot for local families.

It's a short stop on a south-coast day, next to Gris Gris. Don't swim here: the currents are strong.

  • Giant banyan trees
  • Views over the south coast
  • Next to Gris Gris
